Hey Sunday Brewers!
We’ve got plenty of goodies for you this morning, including:
☕ The ‘2-Minute Rule’ for insane productivity
☕ Why “UGC” could be the secret to growing your practice
☕ And a story about an elk…a tire…and two clever pals.
We often use expressions like having “weight on my shoulders” to explain a stressful or burdensome situation.
But for one elk in the Colorado mountains, this saying was no metaphor – it was reality!
For two years, local wildlife officers and park rangers have tracked a young bull elk who mysteriously had a car tire dangling around his neck and shoulders.
They first saw him on trail cam footage a couple of years back and have since spotted him dozens of times.
Unfortunately, they’ve never been close enough to safely help him.
But fearful that the tire would become tangled in branches or, worse, in the antlers of another elk during the rut…
…the wildlife staff made it their mission to remove it.
And on their fourth attempt, they were successful.
This past week, Dawson Swanson and Scott Murdoch bravely responded to a neighborhood sighting of the elk and safely tranquilized the 600-pound 10-pointer.
This allowed them to remove the tire without scaring, hurting, or removing him from his habitat.
Inside the tire, they found over 10lbs of debris and trash.
Thankfully, there was no serious damage to the elk and he’s expected to live a normal, healthy…and much happier life.
“The saga of this bull elk highlights the need for residents to live responsibly with wildlife in mind,” the wildlife officers say.
And for one elk, it has to feel as if the weight of the world has been lifted from his shoulders!

It’s not always the big tasks that slow us down or eat up our days.
In many cases, I’ve found it to be the dozens of small tasks that get thrown onto our plates at the last minute that hold us back.
And if it weren’t for the “2-Minute Rule,” I think I’d be a lot more overwhelmed.
The 2-Minute Rule is extremely simple, yet highly useful for when you don’t want to waste time contemplating when to do something or where to prioritize it on your to-do list.
Just ask yourself one simple question:
“Can I do this in less than two minutes?”
If the answer is yes, do it immediately.
If the answer is no, add it to your to-do list for later.
By taking care of these simple tasks in real-time, you avoid creating a long to-do list, which only adds to feelings of stress and overwhelm.
Try it this week and let me know what you think!
☕ TL;DR: If you can do a task in less than 2 minutes, do it right away.

Here’s some of what happened over the past week 👇
🔹 Mixed bag. It was a good week for crypto and stocks, but a bad week for the global supply chain (which is likely to get worse before it gets better.)
With ports backed up and suppliers out of raw materials, parents be warned: Now is the time to buy holiday gifts for the kiddos.
🔹 Price spike. Inflation is here – and it ain’t going anywhere but up! However, there are ways for investors to slay the inflationary beast coming for their portfolios.
🔹 Show me the money. CNBC just released its list of the top FAs in the United States. And wouldn’t you know it, they’ve got a buffet of differing opinions on where to invest in 2022.
