When Melanie Pressley was just 18, she gave birth to a son.

Being unable to financially care for him, she made the difficult yet brave decision to give her son up for adoption.

And because the adoption was classified as a “closed” adoption… 

…Melanie was left with nothing more than the single photograph she had holding her son the day he was born. 

While she’s never doubted or regretted her decision, Melanie has spent a lot of time thinking about her son over the last 33 years.

You see, Greg Vossler learned that he was adopted during his childhood.

His adoptive parents were always very open and honest about his background. 

And though Greg had an incredible upbringing with loving parents, he always wondered about his origins.

And after some back-and-forth messaging (and confirmation of Greg’s June 17 1988 birthday), they both knew that they were more than just relatives.

“I’m telling you, if you could meet Greg, he was given a life beyond my belief,” she says. 

He was raised with manners. He was raised how you would dream. It’s just unbelievable!”

So anything you can do to cut down on distractions is a huge win for your focus and productivity.

The question is…

In an office where the constant ringing and dinging of devices and notifications throws you off, how do you stay focused?

As an advisor, it takes a lot to get someone to visit your website.

So when you do get them to visit, you don’t want to squander the opportunity.

Unfortunately, there’s one invisible aspect of your website that may be holding you back.

We’re talking about a metric web developers refer to as “page loading speed.”

Research shows that 53% of visitors will abandon a page if it takes more than three seconds to load.

So even if your website loads in just four or five seconds…

Poof! 💨

Half of your hard-earned visitors never stuck around long enough to see the page load. (And it’s unlikely they’ll ever return.)

And here’s the thing…

Three seconds is the absolute longest it should take.

If a page’s load time slows down from one second to three seconds, the chances that a visitor bounces increases by 32%.

I know page loading speed isn’t something you’ve probably ever thought about, but it’s worth considering.

Google has a very simple tool that you can use to measure how you’re doing.

They’ll give you a quick analysis and provide some recommendations for how you can speed things up!
