In 2014, Tricia Somers got the word…
Her cancer was terminal.
When she heard the news, she had just one wish.
She turned to her beloved oncology nurse, Tricia Seaman, and asked if she would raise her 8-year-old son after she was gone.
“Before she even said anything, I just felt comfort. It was almost like somebody just put a warm blanket on me,” Somers said back in 2014.
“I’ve never felt anything like that before or any other connection with anybody else.”
Searman’s answer was an immediate, undeniable, yes.
“She referred to me as her angel and said I was sent to help her and her son,” she recalls.
Little did Somers know that Seaman and her husband had been trying to add a child to their family for years.
“When Tricia was dying she actually said to me, ‘Stop crying!’ She then thanked me for taking in Wesley, but I said, ‘No, don’t thank me, I want to thank you’.”
Eight years later, that little 8-year-old boy is now a teenager with his driver’s license.
“He’s exceptional,” Seaman says. “But the most important thing is he just has such a kind and loving heart.”
And it’s easy to see where he got it.

If it feels like there’s a lot of wasted time in your workday, you probably need to tighten your schedule.
I once heard someone put it like this…
“Scheduling imposes protective barriers to ensure that their time is not misused by others.”
In other words, be more strategic with how you plan your days and weeks.
One of the worst things you can do is have lots of random meetings sprinkled throughout the day. It creates dead spots in your schedule that are difficult to use constructively.
One trick is to clump all of your meetings together – back to back. This frees up the rest of your day to get in a state of flow and be productive.
I’ve also seen successful financial advisors stick to dedicated “meeting days.” (e.g. all meetings on Tuesdays & Thursdays).
Whatever you decide to do, make sure you’re the one in charge of your calendar.
If you don’t prioritize your time, nobody will!
☕ TL;DR: Clump meetings together for greater control over your schedule.

Learn how to turn your smartphone into a pro-quality camera with a few easy steps!
🔹 Cooldown coming? Homebuyers in the U.S. can’t seem to catch a break. While more sellers are being forced to lower their asking prices this month than at any point in the past year, interest rates on 30-year mortgages are surging – surpassing 5% in many cases. Both of these factors signal a possible cooling of the market this summer.
🔹 Russia revoked. This past week, U.S. Congress voted to revoke Russia’s trade status, ban oil and gas imports, and turn up the financial pressure on the nation as it pushes forward with war atrocities.
🔹 Americans nervous. A brand new survey shows 76% of Americans believe inflation will force them to rethink their financial choices. Meanwhile, the Fed continues to watch closely.
