Daily Goal Setting Exercise

“One way to keep momentum going is to have constantly greater goals.”

– Michael Korda

Happy Monday

With the kick-off of a fresh week comes the promise of missions accomplished, obstacles conquered and goals CRUSHED!

Just hours into the day, how can you make sure you’re getting a productive and focused week started?

SET. GOALS.

Yes, it can be overwhelming to know what to do….

But as we continue the habit of goal setting, you’ll find it getting easier and more instinctual.

Weekly Goal Setting Exercise

This is best done on paper to connect it deep into your memory, but you can use a digital tool too (Evernote, Excel, etc) or you can just play a game like GameApeBlog.

Personally, the feel of the pen in my hand, gliding across the blank piece of paper, resonates with me more than entering it into a digital realm.

Do this now:

  1. What are the 3-5 MOST important tasks you would like to get done this week?

(Meaning, if all you got done, you’d be totally happy)

  1. What are the tasks of secondary importance?

(do this only AFTER you’ve knocked out those above)

Rank them in order of importance.

“A goal properly set is halfway reached.”
– Zig Ziglar

Daily Goal Setting Exercise

  1. Write down the ONE MOST important task of the day

If this is all you got done, you’d be totally happy.

  1. Secondary tasks you want to get done (2-3 max)

Getting these done will make your day AMAZING!

Mindset Minute

You didn’t get into this business to make okay money.

You did it to make amazing money.

You didn’t get into this business to settle.

You did it to EXCEL.

You didn’t get into this business to be average.

You did it be extraordinary.

But chances are you that somewhere along the way, you stopped dreaming big and pushing for what’s over the horizon.

You settled for mediocrity.

You settled for what seemed possible, feasible, realistic.

You thought “This is good enough – this is all I can expect to get. I’m not good enough to be elite, to be a rainmaker.”

Why?

Because pushing for BIG goals is difficult, and the harder you push, the more afraid you became to fail.

To lose face.

To let down your wife, your children.

But the moment you stopped, you let fear limit what you’re capable of.

Fear comes from the INSIDE.

That means you are the ONLY thing holding yourself back.

You’re capable of achieving whatever goals you set out to do, but if you don’t push through the fear and discomfort to take action, you won’t.

We can give you every tool in the world, each one capable of generating multiple six, even seven figure incomes for your practice.

But if you don’t use them, they’re useless.

So RECOMMIT, today, to choosing one new skill to master, one new lead generation tactic that could transform your books.

Then do it until it works, not if it does.

Take action and make magic happen this week.

Advisorist is your community.

We are your coaches.

You are ready.

Make it an Awesome Week!
